Spray Foam Insulation Jobsite Photos

The job involved retrofitting an older home with two additions attached to bring the home up to current HERS rating specifications.

Pro Insulators experts are trained in applying both open and closed cell spray foam insulation. The product selection depends on the situation.

Closed Cell for Walls

The existing framing cavities were filled with closed cell spray foam to bring the insulation up to the HERS rater's specified R-value for the wall cavities.

Meeting HERS Specifications

All 2x6 walls in the additions were insulated with open cell spray foam, also to meet the HERS rater’s R-value specifications.

Attic insulation completed

Attic Space

In the attic space, we applied:2 inches of closed cell foam to establish an air and vapor barrier, followed by open cell foam to achieve the required R-value at the roofline.

The entire roofline was then coated with a gray intumescent fireproofing paint to comply with fire code requirements, since the space exceeds 30 inches in height and contains mechanical systems, making it an accessible and code-regulated area.
